2 week reflection

Changes I made were unplug phone and laptop chargers. I didn't do a good job recycling. I also shut off the TV. I did a good job unplugging phone and laptop chargers. I have also done a good job with shutting off TV and computers when there not being used. I have not done a good job recycling card board though only bottles.

response to energy saving

In this past week me and my family have been trying to unplug phone chargers, not to leave the TV on, not to leave the lights on, and not go to the store for one item. So far we have been doing pretty good on unplugging phone chargers and not leaving the TV on and shutting the light off but we did go to the store for one item during this week.

energy saving

We don’t go to a store when we need one thing we wait till we have a list, we recycle, we have a vegetable garden, we limit TV time, we take short showers, we use reusable shopping bags, and we don’t leave the door open while the heats on.
We could unplug chargers not being used, turn off TV when not being watched, make sure to turn off lights, don’t go to get just gas go when your doing something else nearby, and get CFL light bulbs.

Prediction

I am still in the same spot of my book
My prediction is that they'll hit the rocks near the shore and the raft will break. Then they'll have to walk through the woods and they'll see where the lost city was originally. then the kidnappers will come and threaten to hurt the twins if they don't lead the way.

visualization

Summary: I'm only a chapter farther but they have finished the raft and there in the ocean but they had to get off for a second so they didn't hit the the rocks by the shoe.
Visualization helped me when they had to get off the raft to point it towards the open water and make sure there safe.But ones he got off the raft the water yanked him under for a few seconds.

Prediction

My prediction is that they will not make it all the way down the coast line. I think they'll get hit by hurricane winds and the sail will brake so they'll have to walk abut two to three miles after they get back to land. also I think they'll meet up with the kidnappers on the way through the woods. Also the kidnappers will make them lead the way through the woods. Then I think the Kogis will stop the kidnappers and Beck and the Kogis will make a agreement.

I used visualization during the part when Beck said he was going to make a boat out of trees and vines. I didn't expect him to make a boat out of trees and vines because I would of thought he would just use a canoe or raft to go down the coast line. I guess there a reason because hes building the same boat as Gonzalo.

Prediction

I think that when Beck thought of making a boat out of the tree he will have trouble finding the materials. I think Beck won't have a problem making the boat though so he should be in the ocean by the night. also I believe that he will find the lost city before the kidnappers find the lost city. Because Gonzalo found the lost city by taking a boat down the coast line.

Summary: Since the last time i summarized the book i have read that Beck can no longer trust the police. Because there trigger happy fools.
The part of the book I'm in right now visualization is very important because there desribing what a piece of gold looks like. They said it looks like a spider web made out of gold. They also said that it was Gonzalos and they thought he got it from the lost city. They also said it was very valuable.

Connection to the real world

A connection to the real world is that there are many treasure hunters and adventures that look for pieces from history and treasures. Which is what this book is about they aren't looking for the city for the gold but for the history behind it.

Connection to my life

I'm still at the same spot in my book as in my last blog.
I like to play around in the forest quite a lot so normally I'll look around for something interesting. So looking for the lost city in the book kind of says that Beck is a adventures person and likes to go and look for something that might interest him like the lost city.

Prediction

I'm still in the same spot in my book as i was in my last post.

I predict that beck will not find the lost city but will find Uncle Al. He will also find the kidnappers on there way back from the city and report so they can study the artifacts and then will make the kidnappers bring him to the city but the natives will already be gone again. Because they said the kidnappers where after the gold in the lost city.

Summary:
In the book so far many things have happened like at the festival when people where kidnapped by some people that wanted the money from the lost city. Then beck sat in a sacred chair and found the map cause the portrait gave him a hint.
For this post i chose to do visualization for this post because......
I'm in a part in the book where there talking about maps and portraits and without visualization it would be really hard to follow along with what there saying. For example when ther describing the portrait they say " no one could mistake the goatee beard or the long face with the roman nose." or another Example would be when they describe the keyhole. "look follow his finger directly up Beck trace a line through the air from the top of gonzalos finger towards the top of the portrait where it bordered the frame."
